Day 11 – Day 1 of Supplements!
Vitamin D comes not only in oral vitamin form, but from sunlight, and food items such as fortified milk and some fish such as cod, tuna and salmon. When vitamin D enters the body it enters the bloodstream and heads to the liver, where it undergoes a series of changes that allow the body to fight off infection by microbial invaders. It is also good for the skin, and is essential to overall health of the body.
So, try and shake up your walking schedule. If you typically walk in doors, try walking outside as often as the weather will permit. Just remember to wear sunscreen.
For everyone, those in rainy Portland to those in sunny Miami, follow our supplement suggestion, as you may not be getting the recommended Vitamin D.m
