Free Carbohydrates

Free carbohydrates are also called fibrous carbohydrates, non-active carbohydrates, low glycemic carbohydrates, etc. These are the carbohydrates that do not have the dramatic effect on blood sugar and insulin that active carbohydrates do. Free carbohydrates can be utilized whenever and as often as you need them. They are great fillers, adding bulk to your diet, as well as satisfying that strong oral fixation we all have. Free carbohydrates are also good for you. They are fibrous,  vitamin packed, and they provide a variety of tastes and textures that we need when following an eating program.
