People ask why they should get a nurse coach. I’m automatically reminded of the quote “Motivation doesn’t last. Neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily!”. Change is hard and its easy to feel stuck. Support is key to maintaining successful change and that’s why I (we) want to meet you where you are at and move toward your goals together! While I have knowledge and experience from being a nurse, I’m not here to tell you what to do. The best expert on you is yourself. Let me (us) partner with you to help you be accountable and keep moving forward so that you can enjoy life to the fullest physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally. Your health is a balance of all of these aspects and you will be limited in your progress if one area is struggling. Invest in a relationship that is invested in your health as I help provoke creative thought processes that break through barriers! I want to hold a safe space for you to be able to find what resonates with you and how we can make it happen together! What I (we) desire most FOR you is for you to be happy, healthy, and feel intentional about your life.
We want you to be successful and live happy, healthy, and intentionally! That’s why I (we) want to come alongside of you and partner with you to provide a safe space for all areas of your life. If your mental, emotional, spiritual, etc. situations are not aligned, then your progress with your physical health will suffer. Let me (us) meet you where you are and help you move forward by provoking creative thought processes that break through barriers and get you living the life you want. Invest in a relationship that is invested in you and holds you accountable and supports you along your journey!
Hello! My name is Malorie. I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor degree (BSN) and I am also a Board Certified Holistic Nurse Coach (NC-BC) through the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC).
I started my nursing career in the hospital setting doing bedside care. After a few years, I took to the travel nursing life going all over the country working in Emergency rooms and trauma centers. While getting my coaching training and certification, I worked with the local college nursing program helping students pursue their own dream of being a nurse. After seeing the broken health system across our nation and the thousands of people who get “missed” with the “one size fits all” medicine being practiced and taught, I decided I not only needed a change but wanted to help others find a different option for health.
I was also one of those patients lost in the “name it and prescribe something for it” way of care. I was told my labs and tests were all normal, that my depression was just a chemical imbalance, my fatigue would improve if I just exercised more, and was handed pill after pill that didn’t make me feel better. It wasn’t until I found a Dr. Willey that looked at me as a whole, compared my “normal” labs against each other, and really wanted to get to the source of all of these symptoms instead of just prescribing pills, that I had a hope of feeling better. I was done masking my symptoms and wanted to feel happy, healthy, and whole again.
And that is why I started coaching others. I have a heart for people and an understanding of the frustration and exhaustion of knowing you are not well despite someone thinking you look fine. So if I can help you feel your best, then this whole journey I have been through will be worth the struggles.
