Pseudo Hot Wings

Not only will this recipe make your kitchen smell like one of Kansas City’s finest BBQ restaurants, it will put a smile on your face.
4 large (BIG) chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (I used KC Masterpiece – Original flavor)
Tabasco Sauce, a few dashes
4 tsp. Williams Original chili powder
½ tsp. ground cayenne pepper
For the chicken: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Layer a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Cut each chicken breast lengthwise into strips. Place strips on baking sheet. Put in oven for 15-20 minutes or until done. In a large bowl, stir together BBQ sauce, Tabasco, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. When the chicken is fully cooked (meat will be white – no pink showing), take out of the oven and toss it into the sauce. Coat chicken well with sauce. Pour off any juice that may be left on baking sheet. Place chicken back on baking sheet and place back in oven for about 5 minutes.
Serve with your favorite bleu cheese or ranch dressing and some cold celery sticks – be sure to leave the bottle of Tabasco on the table for those that love a spicy kick!
