This quiche is so delicious and super easy to make! Sometimes I make it with turkey bacon and sometimes I make it all veggie..or the combo- veggie bacon! Yum!!

Servings: 8

Ingredients: (for bacon recipe)

8 slices cooked turkey bacon, chopped or crumbled

1 cup swiss cheese, shredded

1 medium onion, chopped

2-3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 green pepper, chopped (you can use red peppers, orange peppers or yellow peppers, if desired)

2 cups milk

1 cup Bisquick mix

4 eggs

1/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

Preparations:

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease deep dish 10-inch pie plate. Sprinkle 1/2 the bacon, cheese, onions, and green pepper; repeat.

Beat remaining ingredients on high speed and pour evenly into pie plate. Bake 30-40 minutes or until top is golden and knife comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

For Veggie Quiche:

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 small package of mushrooms, sliced

1 onion, purple or yellow, chopped

2-3 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 cups of fresh broccoli, tops only, chopped

2-3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 green pepper, chopped (or you can use red peppers, orange peppers or yellow peppers, if desired)

2 cups milk

1 cup Bisquick mix

4 eggs

1/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

In a large skillet, add the olive oil and the veggies. Add your favorite seasonings… I like basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, curry, garlic powder. About 1 tsp – 1 Tbsp of each…to your desired taste. Stir veggies around until they are soft and cooked. Put in bottom of greased 10-inch deep pie dish. Pour egg mixture of the top. Bake for 30-40 minutes in a 400 degree oven. After baked, top with additional Swiss cheese, if desired.

In hens, the entire time from ovulation to laying an egg is only about 25 hours! Then about 30 minutes later, the hen will begin to make another egg!
