[framed_box bgColor=”#eee” rounded=”true”] [list style=”list2″ color=”blue”]“About 7 years ago, I weighed 275 with hardly any muscle and lost 100 pounds through various diets including the Adkins (low carb). I’m a firm believer in low carb especially when someone’s sugar levels are off but never found someone (in the gym) that found a need for it in a healthy life style. Since loosing the weight, I’ve been in the gym without any real muscle gain to speak of and ultimately some muscle loss according to the skin fold tests. My physique has definitely improved but frustrated without gaining muscle.
In reading your book, the words hit home. Three days ago I started the 12 week program with a couple of low carb days followed by a high carb day. Ketosis hit about noon on day three while I was already hitting the carbs heavy. Went home for lunch defeated and considering quitting the diet. This morning, was my day after a high carb day and I thought the first machine I was on was broken since lifting my normal weight was way too easy. On the second machine, I realized that it was me and had to jack up the weight 20% to 30% on my full routine! 24 Hours ago, I was ready to through in the towel; today, I’m an advocate and preacher of your BTS! Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge!” -JK [/framed_box]
